Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs what you may send through Postbox. It exists to protect recipients, keep our sending infrastructure trusted by mailbox providers, and preserve deliverability for every customer. It forms part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service. By using Postbox you agree to it. When we say "mail" we mean any message you send through the Service.

Prohibited content and use

You may not use Postbox to send, or to facilitate sending, any of the following:

Sender requirements

When you send through Postbox you must:

Suppression and deliverability

To protect deliverability, Postbox records addresses that hard-bounce or file spam complaints and suppresses future sends to them. Attempting to bypass suppression, or continuing to mail addresses that repeatedly bounce or complain, is a violation of this policy.

Enforcement

We monitor sending health and abuse signals. Where sending violates this policy or threatens deliverability for Postbox or its customers, we may (with or without notice, depending on the severity) rate-limit or throttle your sending, pause sending on your account, require remediation, suspend affected mailboxes or domains, or suspend or terminate your account. We will use reasonable judgment and, where practical, tell you what went wrong and how to resolve it.

Reporting abuse

To report mail sent through Postbox that you believe violates this policy, contact [email protected].

Changes

We may update this policy as the Service and the sending landscape evolve. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use means you accept the change.
